I’m going to do my very best to put into words the quiet magic of Middleton Lodge Estate, although if you’ve ever visited, you’ll know it almost speaks for itself.
Nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside near Richmond, Middleton Lodge Estate is one of those rare wedding venues that feels effortless.
In short, it is exactly my sort of place and really is unbeatable in my eyes.
If they ever decide to offer long-term residency in the spa, I’ll be first on the waiting list.
A Luxury Wedding Venue in Yorkshire
From the walled gardens to the serene spa and the architectural elegance of the The Fig House at Middleton Lodge, the entire estate feels refined, modern and wonderfully restorative.
So when Lauren and Louis booked me to style their March wedding, I was more than a little excited. Possibly ready to jump in the Middleton pool levels of excited.
Lauren’s vision was beautifully understated and instantly aligned with my own design approach.
Dusky blue formed the foundation of the palette, layered with soft whites, warm neutrals and subtle gold accents to create a look that felt cohesive.
Ceremony Styling in the Main House
The ceremony took place in the Main House, where the front of the room was framed with exquisite florals by Silvertini Floristry.
I styled the staircase with complementary floral details to create a soft sense of movement and to guide guests naturally through the space.
Every element felt delicate and intentional, enhancing the architecture without overwhelming it.
Styling the Fig House
The The Fig House at Middleton Lodge is, quite honestly, one of my favourite reception spaces in Yorkshire.
The dramatic black arched windows, trees growing along the walls and abundance of natural light create a perfect balance between modern design and organic beauty.
It is an interior stylist’s dream.
To complement the space, we dressed the rustic wooden tables with flowing dusky blue chiffon runners, draped to the floor of course.
Layered candlelight in varying heights added warmth and depth, while scalloped lamps introduced a gentle glow and a subtle design detail that elevated the tablescape.
Thoughtful Wedding Table Styling
Each guest’s wine glass was finished with a handmade bow, adding a personal detail and blue tea lights completed the palette and tied every element together.
These are the finishing touches that transform a beautiful room into an unforgettable experience.
Capturing the Day
The images by Love & Luna Photography are an absolute dream.
They captured the softness, atmosphere and emotion of the day so perfectly that I spent a considerable amount of time scrolling through the gallery.
By the end, I had reached one clear conclusion: my husband may need to marry me all over again at Middleton Lodge Estate.
